From Oslo to the World: Scaling Carbon Capture Through Cooperation
An Aker Solutions, Hafslund Celsio and SLB Capturi event at ONS
Carbon capture is moving from ambition to delivery. At Klemetsrud in Oslo, Hafslund Celsio, Aker Solutions and SLB Capturi are building one of the world's first full-scale carbon capture plants on waste-to-energy, capturing 350,000 tonnes of CO2 a year as part of Norway's Longship project. A new CO2 terminal at Oslo harbour will ship the captured CO2 to permanent storage in the North Sea, and over time enable other capture projects in the region to plug into the same chain.
Join us to learn what it takes to deliver CCS at scale: the lessons from an ongoing project, the role of standardization and digital in shifting project economics, and the policy and framework conditions needed to unlock the next wave of projects in Norway and across Europe.
