CONFloat
CONFloat™ is an innovative set of concrete floating substructures. These cost-efficient and robust solutions for floating wind turbines benefit from Aker Solutions' extensive experience in concrete foundation design and engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI).

Key features
- Concept maturity based on 50 years of concrete foundation design and EPCI experience from the CONDEEP™ oil & gas projects
- High local content potential offering benefits for regional supply chains and enabling global low-cost delivery models
- Opportunity to enhance project sustainability goals through local supply of main materials, reducing transportation needs
- A proven track record in harsh environments, with advantages such as low fatigue and minimum maintenance over the lifetime of the structures
- Designed for efficient serial production with fewer structural elements and maximizing the use of continuous slipforming casting technique, shortening execution schedules and reducing costs
- Low OPEX: the passive sealed ballast system enhances stability and keeps maintenance requirements to a minimum
CONFloat™ Omega
This circular floater concept with a moonpool in the center and an offset turbine and tower, is designed for harsh environments. The CONFloat-Omega has been tank tested, confirming the expected behaviors and performance.
CONFloat™ 7C
This proven seven-cell arrangement has a centralized turbine and tower. The CONFloat-7C is designed for reduced integration and completion draught, enabling a broader selection of execution locations and ports.
